CMRT Eurasia Motorsport are all set for the new season in Blancpain GT Series Asia with an entry in the 12-round championship which gets underway this weekend (14-15 April) at the Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia.

The team return in 2018 to defend its winning AM class title with Adrian D’Silva and Sanghwi Rick Yoon driving the team’s Aston Martin Vantage GT3 in this event. As reigning champions and with an experienced bronze driver pairing, the team are confident that they have the opportunity to continue its winning ways.

South Korean driver, Sanghwi Rick Yoon, competed in the Pro-AM class of the Blancpain GT Series Asia last year, prior to which he had raced in the Ferrari Challenge Asia.

Adrian D’Silva meanwhile will be racing in his home country and knows the Sepang circuit well having competed in the Malaysian Super Series, MME 12 Hours and Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup at the former Formula One facility. He has also competed in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, Asian Le Mans Series and Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific.

James Cai and Kenneth Lim are unable to compete in the first three events due to other non-racing commitments but will re-join the team for the second half of the season.

“We’ve had a very tight schedule recently and now we’re delighted to be back in the Blancpain GT Series Asia with the Aston Martin,” said team principal Mark Goddard. “We aim as ever for the top step of the podium and with the package and drivers we have we’re confident of being right up there.”
