Eurasia Motorsport is pleased to confirm that it will field an LMP3 entry in this year’s Asian Le Mans Series which gets underway in November at Shanghai International Circuit.

The Asian-based team will compete with Nobuya Yamanaka and Aidan Read in the four-round championship, the two having tested and raced together in the China Endurance Series earlier this year.

Read is no stranger to the team having finished runner-up in the Formula Masters Championship with the team in 2016 with nine race wins. More recently he has competed with Craft-Bamboo Racing in Blancpain GT Series Asia and will be the lead driver in the Pro-Am line-up.

Yamanaka is a rookie in the series but testing and his LMP3 debut in the China Endurance Series alongside Read, where they finished seventh, has already shown that the 58-year-old will be competitive.

“I’m delighted to confirm our programme for the 2018/19 Asian Le Mans Series,” stated team principal Mark Goddard. “Aidan is very much a known quantity to us and we expect him to lead the team and push for victories.

“Nobuya will quickly get up to speed and has shown tremendous tenacity as he has adapted to the new machinery. It will be a learning curve for him, but we believe it will be a strong campaign from both.”

Eurasia Motorsport has also made an entry in the  LMP2 class and are currently assessing driver options for what will be a two-pronged attack on the championship.

The team, which won the Asian Le Mans Series LMP3 title in 2015/16, recently competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the third straight year and also runs programmes in Asian Formula Renault, China Endurance Series and the F3 Asian Championship.
