Having secured a superb third position at the season-opening round at Shanghai, Eurasia Motorsport head to the next event on the Asian Le Mans Series calendar confident of another strong showing as championship heads of Fuji Speedway in Japan this coming weekend (7-9 December).

The Philippines-based squad again fields the #36 Ligier LMP3 with Aidan Read and Nobu Yamanaka making it a true Pro-Am line-up for the team.

Eurasia Motorsport, which finished second at this event in 2016 and won the GT class there in 2013/14, has found a good base-line setup for the car and this evolved over the race weekend in Shanghai. With plenty of pre-season testing under their belts, are confident that a repeat podium is a strong possibility in Japan.

“We made best use of strategy in the last race, probably the best of any of our rivals, to secure the podium position,” said Team Principal Mark Goddard. “Nobu is learning and has experience of the Fuji circuit, albeit in differing equipment. Aidan knows the circuit well and his race pace will only be of benefit to us once again this weekend.

“Once again we have demonstrated an Asian based team can compete with any team, wherever they may come from, and we are confident we can repeat this result again in Japan.”

The second round of the championship gets underway Friday, with qualifying Saturday ahead of the 4H Fuji from 12.00 local time.
