Frustrating Paul Ricard JK Racing Asia Series for Eurasia

Danial Hiqmar had looked competitive in practice for the first European round of the JKRAS but traffic in qualifying saw him line up in 8th place for race one. Raneri suffered an engine problem and would start 11th. Both drivers moved forward in the race but unfortunately contact between the two team mates in a hectic multi-car battle ended Raneri’s race and left Hiqmar at the back of the field. Hiqmar’s luck was no better in race two, a puncture after contact seeing him drop to the back of the field although his fastest race lap was competitive. Raneri finished tenth from the back of the grid after a good drive.

The next round of the series will take place at Spa on July 28th and the team hope that both drivers can fulfill their potential. “Danial just needs to qualify well, his race pace is good, whilst Josh is very impressive for a complete novice. We hope both drivers will unlock their potential at Spa.” reported Eurasia’s Mark Goddard.
