Dado Pena was extremely disappointed with his results at the Sentul Circuit, Indonesia after constantly setting times in the top three during practice. A spin in race one led to a 7th on the grid start to race two.

Pena and the team were unhappy after he qualified 6th for race one. “I did not feel comfortable in the car on new tyres and lost time as a result” reported the Filipino. Race one saw Pena locked up behind O’Hara and Christian Jones, both of whom were spewing oil over the Team Goddard-Minardi Team Asia car. “The car was all over the place, I was racing on their oil and it finally caught me out and I spun”. Pena recovered to finish seventh. In the second race a poor start saw Pena trapped behind Moreno Soeprapto for a couple of laps. Once by he soon homed in on the group in front grabbing fourth place. Mikola finished third after a “bit of a wheel banging match with O’Hara”.

Tyson Sy won both races with James Winslow twice second. O’Hara was third in race one but retired from race two with accident damage after clashing with Mikola. The latter retired from race one when his throttle stuck open and he speared off into the tyre wall.

Pena lies fifth in the Championship and two good results could move him up to second in the points are the final round at Batangas in the Philippines on November 6th.
