The driver line for the 2006 Formula BMW Asia Series has been confirmed with the team signing Australian Daniel Ricciardo, New Zealander Dominic Storey and Indonesian Zahir Ali.
Team Manager, Martin Quick, reports that this is an extremely strong line up. “All three are karting champions and have demonstrated tremendous ability in testing at the Sepang F1 circuit. I believe we have one of the strongest line ups on the grid and the whole team is looking forward to the first round which supports the Malaysian GP on March 18/19”.
Zahir Ali is 19 years old whilst Storey and Ricciardo are both 16 year olds and both are BMW scholarship winners. “I am sure all three will push themselves to the limit and I am confident they all have a chance of getting on the top step of the podium this year” said team driver coach, Mark Goddard.
