Daniel Ricciardo, who drove for Eurasia Motorsport in the 2006 Formula BMW Asia season, clinched the British F3 title today with third and seventh places in the Algarve round of the championship. Ricciardo won races for Eurasia in his rookie year and he has used the grounding he received from the team to give himself a realistic chance of a Formula One seat.
“Eurasia congratulates Daniel for his championship success and we hope he will be the first season long driver from the Pacific Series to gain an F1 race seat.” stated Mark Goddard of Eurasia Motorsport. “This demonstrates that the combination of Eurasia Motorsport and the Pacific F.BMW Series is a great career path for any young driver.”
