A little misfortune in the closing moments of Saturday’s penultimate round of the Asian Le Mans Series race in Malaysia saw the #36 Eurasia Motorsport Ligier JS P217 take the chequered flag first, only to be penalised post-race with a drive-through penalty time adjustment dropping them to second.
Heading to Buriram, Thailand for the season finale, the #36 crew of Aidan Read, Roberto Merhi and Nick Foster need to outscore their championship rivals by ten or more points and there are many ways in which this can occur.
The Malaysian-based team has shown race-winning pace in every round of the championship so far, so hopes and morale remain high ahead of the final round of the championship.
