Mitchell third, first rookie and Kushlani fourth in Sentul race two – July 21 07

Kyle Mitchell finished a fine third overall, first rookie, in round ten of the series held today. A fantastic first lap saw him finish the lap in fourth place just one place behind his team mate, Akhil Kushlani. They put on a great show swapping places several times before Mitchell came out on top.
Zahir Ali again won easily from Grunwell whilst all interest was on the fantastic race for third between the Eurasia team mates. It was good clean racing with Mitchell getting by into turn one on lap 8 before out braking himself and allowing Akhil past. The latter then made a mistake on the exit of the final turn, running onto the grass and allowing Kyle to slipstream past into the first turn again. They eventually finished third and fourth, first and second rookies, with about one second separating them at the flag. Unbelievably Dennis Vollmair ignored the race director’s advice about dangerous driving and was black flagged as a result.
