We will soon be announcing the return of Eurasia Motorsport to the Junior Formula ranks, so now is a good time to look at the careers of some of our graduates.
Daniel Ricciardo began his single-seater career with us in Formula BMW Asia, and he reckons that without the grounding he received from Eurasia, he would not have gone on to be multiple Grand Prix race winner.
Competing in Asia with Eurasia has proven to be great for the careers of drivers from all regions.
Antonio Giovinazzi also started his car racing career with us in Formula Pilota China, winning the championship, after which he competed in the final round of the Formula Abarth Championship at Monza. The cars were identical to the Formula Pilota, and he won two of the three races.
Eurasia and Asian Championship clearly demonstrate that it’s a great place for young drivers. Antonio enjoyed several seasons in F1, plus he is now a 24 Hours of Le Mans race winner.
Like Giovinazzi, Richard Bradley began his career with Eurasia, winning the Formula BMW Pacific Championship against a strong field which included Carlos Sainz and Daniil Kvyat. Bradley is a LMP2 Class Le Mans 24h winner and a professional LMP2 and historic driver.
Eurasia first or second-year graduates who have gone on to forge successful GT or LMP careers include Axcil Jefferies, Sean Geleal, Pasin Lathouras, Sean Hudspeth, Tanart Sathienthirakul, Aidan Read, Eshan Pieris.. to name a few.
Another first year of racing Eurasia graduate is Daniel Frost, who is currently making waves in the Indy NXT Series.
Eurasia also helped train several Nissan Driver Development Programme racers, including Katsumasa Chiyo, Mitsunori Takabashi, Kimya Sato and Daiko Sasaki. They are all now Super GT professionals, and Chiyo was a GT champion in Europe, whilst Sato was Auto GP Champion.
We have worked with many professional drivers with our LMP and GT teams. They include Shane Van Gisbergen, Nick Cassidy, Roberto Mehri, Nick Foster, Andrea Bertolini, Tristan Gommendy, Nic Jonsson, Martin Cao and Garnet Patterson.
We know how the best operate, and we ensure our young drivers follow in the footsteps of the best through our world-class driver training. We also bring our engineering expertise garnered racing at the highest levels of LMP and GT.
We should also mention our bronze amateur drivers, who we trained from novices to – in some cases – competing at Le Mans.
