Aaron Lim started sixth and worked up to a podium position grabbing third on the last lap. Chan spent the whole race battling with Robert Boughey before losing out on the final tour.
Hamad made a great start to lead from a group which included Patrizi, Lim, Charlez, Khalifa and An. Patrizi broke clear and was soon on the tail of Hamad. The latter seemed to have everything under control until the last lap when he slowed with a puncture, crawling across the line in ninth. Lim picked off Charlez and An but was unable to catch Ebrahim. Khalifa finished fifth taking the Championship.
“It was great to finish on the podium in front of the F1 Teams and it sets me up to challenge for the championship next year” said a delighted Lim.
Chan gave Robert Boughey a run for his money and his fastest race lap was a tenth quicker than that of Lim demonstrating that he has stepped up a notch. “I am really happy that I can race at this pace and I now know I can be competitive next year” reported Chan.
