Lim made a terrible start and fought his way past several drivers before meeting a brick wall in the form of Charlez who just kept the Maysian behind at the flag. de Zoysa diced with An Suk Won, the pair swapping places whilst Chan finished a lonely 9th
Salman, Hamad, Patrizi, and Ebrahim ran close together for the entire race and finished in that order with Chalez fifth from Lim. Lim had dropped to 9th at the start and took several laps to fight his way past his team mate de Zoysa and Korean An Suk Won. Once past he quickly caught Charlez but ran out of time to make any further progress. de Zoysa and An Suk Won swapped places several times before a mistake from de Zoysa allowed the Korean to pull out a two second advantage. Chan was never troubled and finished a lonely 9th. The race was red flagged after one lap due to a huge accident suffered by Boughey at the fast chicane. Bougher walked away from his badly damaged car.
