The Philippines-based squad has a long history of success in Asian single-seater racing and its return to the podium with Read shows how the young Aussie has developed going into his second full season in the FMCS with the team.

Read was competitive from the start of the weekend in Shanghai, following a successful pre-season testing campaign and a triple victory in the Formula Masters China Winter Series at Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit in March.

Eurasia Motorsport Team Principal, Mark Goddard, said: “It is nice to put Eurasia Motorsport back on the podium in the junior categories. Aidan (Read) is developing well as a driver and should be in the hunt for more success this season. We know we have a competitive car and a team that is capable of getting results at this level.”

Eurasia Motorsport ow heads into the inaugural round of the Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup at Sepang (28-29 May), where it will field a sole LMP3 prototype for Read, following the thread of bringing drivers up the motorsport ladder through various categories as part of its driver development programme.
