Eurasia Motorsport are running a twin programme this weekend (23-24 September) in both Formula Masters Asia Series and the Blancpain GT Series Asia at the Shanghai International Circuit.
Rounds 15 and 16 of the former proved to be positive for the team with Danial Frost securing a double podium on the first day of running. Both races took part in wet conditions and as a result, there was plenty of incident and subsequent safety car periods.
Frost started in sixth for the first race after a disappointing qualifying session, but was quickly up to third place. Further progress was halted however as multiple safety car periods meant that Frost and the field ended the race under caution.
Race two saw Frost start on the second row and he made a great start to slot into third place on the opening lap. Another safety car was called to remove a stricken car and after the restart Frost was able to consolidate his position for another third-place finish.
Team mate, Kurt Hill, had a much tougher time of it. The first race saw him tipped into a spin on the opening lap, but was able to recover to tenth place. The second race saw an incident on the first lap again, this time he was forced to retire after sustaining steering damage after contact.
The final two races of the season will be help on Sunday September 23rd.
