Australian Aidan Read will join the Eurasia Motorsport team for the Shanghai Formula Masters China Championship final this weekend. The 15 year old Perth resident will experience the Formula Masters car and the Shanghai F1 circuit for the first time this week, his previous experience being in Australia having started in karting before moving to the Western Australia Formula Vee State Championship. Whilst this will be his first race in a wings and slicks car he has undertaken a few days testing in the Eurasia F.Pilota car at the Clark International Circuit in the Philippines.
“Aidan demonstrated a lot of promise during his testing at Clark in the F.Pilota” reports Team Principal Mark Goddard. “Whilst it is a big jump from F.Vee to F. Masters his performance at Clark convinced us he was ready to race and the experience will help him mount a championship bid in 2015.”
Qualifying takes place on Friday October 17th followed by two races on Saturday and the final race of 2014 on Sunday.
