The Zimbabwean BMW Junior driver has attracted support from Pioneer Africa Corporation, a transport and logistics company based in Central and Southern Africa. Axcil will sport the Pioneer logo on his car for the next round of the Formula BMW Pacific Series which will be held at the Sepang F1 Circuit on May 28-31.
Jefferies impressed with his speed at the first event of the series also held at Sepang supporting the Malaysian F1 GP. He finished fourth in his career first car race and led at the completion of the first lap of round two before being punted off by an errant competitor. Axcil is determined to put that disappointment behind him and is confident he can shine this coming weekend. “Now I have my first race under my belt I know what to expect and I am full of confidence for the weekend” remarked Axcil.
Mark Goddard of Eurasia Motorsport commented “This weekend is vital for the championship as there are four races and a lot of points to be won. We know from testing that Axcil has the pace and I am confident its all going to come together for Axcil and we will be celebrating on Sunday evening!”.
