The second and final day of the Paul Ricard European Le Mans Series Official Test started in bright sunshine and ended in the pouring rain. These were ideal conditions for the team allowing Pu Jun Jin to sample the car in the dry, he had arrived on Monday night hot foot from racing at Zhuhai in China and both Pu Jun Jin and Nick de Bruijn to drive for the first time in the wet. The team were also able to sample the Dunlop intermediate tyres, the latter being a novelty as they are not allowed in Asian Le Mans. Over the two days Nick de Bruijn set the seventh fastest time, a mere two tenths off third fastest.
“We are very happy with our first test in Europe. We did a lot of laps running through our planned program and we had the added bonus of wet weather running. We now look forward to the first race at Silverstone with added confidence” reports Team Principal Mark Goddard.
