Eurasia Motorsport are gearing up for its ‘home’ race as the Asian Formula Renault Championship travels to Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia this weekend (25-26 August) for rounds nine and ten of the series.
Daniel Miranda and Eshan Pieris return with the team, the former set to compete at Sepang for the first time, the latter with Formula 4 South East Asia experience at the circuit. Pieris recorded his first single-seater victory at the circuit, something the team hope he can replicate this year. Kurt Hill, currently sixth in the standings, is unable to compete with the team this weekend.
“We’re looking forward to this event as this is effectively our home race,” said Team Principal Mark Goddard. “We spend a lot of time here testing here and in competition, so it’s always a pleasure to return. It’s unfortunate that Kurt is not able to race with us here, but we look forward to a strong showing from both Daniel and Eshan.”
Miranda is currently eighth in the standings with 68 points on the board, with Pieris 14th with 31.
