Asian based Eurasia Motorsport will compete in next year’s European Le Mans Series. The team currently runs an Oreca Nissan in the Asian Le Mans Series and current driver, Mainland Chinese Pu Jun Jin, will head the line-up for ELMS next year. He will be joined by Dutch driver Nick De Bruijn. The team is currently talking to potential drivers to fill the third seat. Pu Jun Jin is also competing in this year’s Formula Masters China Series with Eurasia Motorsport having the won the China Driver Class with the team last year.
One of the aims of the Asian Le Mans Series is to help teams from the region develop to enable them to compete on the World stage and Eurasia will run the car in ELMS with the same personnel used in the Asian Series. Team Principal, expat Brit Mark Goddard, states “We are keen to demonstrate that motorsport in the region is at a level which allows us to compete with the best and running the car with our own Asian based personnel is a crucial part of our program. We are also happy to be entering a truly Mainland Chinese driver which significantly contributes to the attractiveness of our 2015 program”.
The team will continue to enter cars in the Asian Le Mans, GT Asia and Formula Masters China Series next year.
