Eurasia Team Goddard has been flat out testing with their F3 cars at the Sepang F1 Circuit in Malaysia and at Mallala near Adelaide in Australia. Several drivers have taken the opportunity to get more F3 miles under their belt at Sepang whilst the Australian testing is in preparation for the team’s entry to the 2009 Australian F3 Championship.

“We have now had five drivers sample our Dallara 304 TOM’S cars at Sepang in recent months and they have all gone away feeling they have learnt a lot and that it will help their 2009 campaigns in Japan and UK. It’s a cost effective way to gain F3 miles on a Grand Prix circuit in good weather, which is impossible this time of year in Japan and UK” reported the team’s Mark Goddard. One of the drivers set the fastest ever F3 lap time set with 1m59.8 second lap. “The drivers have asked the team to keep their names confidential.

“The testing in Australia went very well and we hope to announce our driver line up for the Australian Championship very shortly” said Goddard. The team will enter the series with a Dallara 307 Mercedes and they hope to back up their 2008 Asian F3 Title with a competitive campaign in Australia.
