Ford GT 8th in wet – dry GT Asia Sepang Race

Samson Chan started the race on slicks, a gamble only a handful of drivers made, on a still wet track but with rain no longer falling. Samson did a great job to keep the car on the road for his 25 minute stint only dropping to 17th in the 29 car field. A quick pit stop saw Naoki Yokomizo rejoin in 12th place which soon became 9th place, Naoki then spending the balance of the 60 minute race in a fierce three car battle. He took the flag in 9th which became 8th after a penalty was given to the 8th placed car. A good event for the 2011 car racing against the latest GT3 machinery.
