The second round of the Asian Formula Renault Series takes place this weekend at Shanghai International Circuit and Eurasia Motorsport will field two cars on this occasion for Daniel Miranda and Kurt Hill.

Last time out at Zhuhai, Hill secured the first podium of the season for the team while Miranda made impressive gains through the field to secure a strong result. Unfortunately, visa issues have resulted in Eshan Pieris being forced to miss this event.

“Kurt Hill was really competitive in the first event at Zhuhai and we fully expect him to be the same at Shanghai,” said team principal Mark Goddard. “He knows the circuit well from racing with us last year in the Formula Masters Asian Series and he now knows he can run right at the front in Asian Formula Renault. In the last event held in Shanghai, the Chinese Grand Prix, his fellow Australian did quite well, winning the race, and Ricciardo also started his career with Eurasia!

“Daniel was a revelation in Zhuhai, showing great pace in his first Formula race. He can only improve every time he sits in the car and there is plenty of practice this week for him to get up to speed in Shanghai.

“Eshan missing this round through no fault of his own is a big blow but I am sure he will come back even more determined in the next round at Ningbo.”
