A wet but drying track produced an exciting crash fest which saw both Eurasia drivers out of the race whilst running in third and fourth places.

Akhil Kushlani made a great start from fourth on the grid to finish the first lap in third place whilst Mitchell was up to fifth place from twelfth on the grid. The safety car came out whilst two cars were retrieved from the gravel at turn one and the race restarted on lap five. Kyle immediately passed Ross Jamison at turn four and the following lap was right on Akhil’s tail into turn three. Contact was made between the two team mates which resulted in Akhil off in the gravel. Mitchell emerged from turn three right behind the leaders, Jazman and Lemvard. However he understeered off the circuit at turn nine and ended his race in the gravel.

“A disaster for the team and drivers, nothing more to say” said Mark Goddard of Eurasia. “We just have to look forward to the next race in Shanghai now. The positive part of the weekend is that Kyle has demonstrated he can run right at the front and that Akhil is not far behind. We truly believe we have every chance of winning in Shanghai.”
