Thailand’s Tanart Sathienthirakul will drive the WINEURASIA Ligier JS P3 LMP3 in the second round of the Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup, to be held at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia this weekend (6-7 August).
WINEURASIA won the first round of the three-event Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup with Australian teenager Aidan Read and the Asian team naturally hopes to emulate the result by teaming Sathienthirakul with Read.
Tanart is no stranger to Eurasia Motorsport, having raced and won with the team in the 2013 Formula Masters China Series (FMCS).
The Thai racer is currently sixth in the one-make European Le Mans Series-supporting Renault Sport Trophy, gaining him experience in powerful sportscars with a good level of downforce.
Eurasia Motorsport Team Principal, Mark Goddard, reports: “We are excited to have Tanart (Sathienthirakul) race with us again and it cements our aim to give our Formula Masters drivers the platform to graduate through the ACO LMP classes to the very top, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, within the Eurasia organisation.”
The next round of the Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup will be held at Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit on 6-7 August. You can follow the action on Facebook, Twitter and the official AsianLMS live timing website.
