Zahir Ali knows Zhuhai, he has raced there in the Formula Renault series and he hopes this will give him the edge when F.BMW Asia visit the Chinese track for the final round on the 2006 Series on October 22nd.
Ali is now a regular front mid-field runner in F.BMW and the young Indonesian novice is moving closer to the front with every race. “Zahir has improved all year and we are sure once he finishes on the podium it will unlock the key to produce ultra competitive performances” stated Eurasia Motorsport’s Mark Goddard. “Both team and driver look on this as a two year project, the first to learn and the second to win. Our aim for Zahir before the season started was for him to finish on the podium before the year end and he has a very good chance of achieving this in Zhuhai.”
