This keeps ARGT with technical support from Eurasia Motorsport in the Championship hunt. The duo lie 4th in the GT World Challenge Championship 13 points off the championship leaders.
Qualifying was held in damp conditions which produced jumbled starting grids for both races. Elliott Schutte was particularly unlucky when a last minute red flag was flown when he had almost finished a lap looking good for pole. The duo would start Race 1 from fifth place on the grid with R2 seeing them line up in sixth spot.
Race one saw a hectic first couple of laps where Schutte was involved in some contact but after yet another great pit stop Jaxon Evans emerged in fourth place which he held until the flag. However Schutte was given a harsh 33 seconds penalty for the earlier contact which dropped them to 8th in the final results.
Race two saw Jaxon Evans holding fifth place in a four car train from 2nd to fifth. Another brilliant pit stop allowed Schutte to emerge in 2nd place. However a slight mistake saw him drop to third which he held to the flag.
The next round is at Darwin on July 24-26. The championship is extremely close and any of the top six in the points could emerge as champions at the end of the year.
