Frank Yu stormed into the lead from pole position in his Craft Eurasia AMR Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and was never headed. Ferrari 458 GT3 rival, Mok Weng Sun, was left trailing in his wake. Craft Eurasia team mate, Samson Chan, retired his Ginetta G50Z GT3 with accident damage . The second race of the day, and final race of the year, will be held later in the day.
