The Japanese karting star, who finished second in this year’s Formula Challenge Japan, will race alongside Eurasia Motorsport series regulars, Axcil Jefferies and Chris Wootton, in the Okayama round of the Formula BMW Pacific Series on November 1st.

Nismo supported Sasaki was the 2008 All Japan Kart Championship KF-1 Class champion before graduating to the Formula Challenge Japan Series this year. The premier series in Japan below Formula Three has produced many Japanese racing stars. Kimiya Sato, who raced in Macau for Eurasia Motorsport in 2008 finishing on the podium, was also a graduate of Formula Challenge having finished second in the series in 2008.

“We are happy that Nismo again chose Eurasia to run their driver in F.BMW. The main objective is for him to gain experience in an International racing series and as long as he finishes both races we will be happy. Naturally we hope that he can also finish in the top ten which will be a great achievement especially considering how competitive this year’s championship has turned out to be. This year has been the most competitive since 2006 and with some of the top drivers from the European and Americas Series also joining a top ten finish will be good, top six really good and a podium would be excellent!” stated Mark Goddard of Eurasia Motorsport.

Practice and qualifying takes place at Okayama on Friday October 30th with race one on Saturday and race two on Sunday November 1st. World Touring Cars and Asian Le Mans will also compete over the weekend.
