Young Australian Aidan Read racing for Eurasia Motorsport became the first winner of this weekend’s Formula Masters China Series, held at the Chang International track in Buriram (Thailand) – Saturday 23rd July – with a commanding victory in the weekends opening race.

Despite this being the first visit to the Buriram track in Northern Thailand the 17-year-old, ably supported by Eurasia, excelled in the weekends practice and qualifying securing pole position for the team and took his form forward into the race winning for the second time in 2 meetings and closing the gap on the Championship leader.

It seems that Read is destined to be the latest driver to benefit from Eurasia’s exemplary record of developing young talent into race winners.  In addition to the victory Read also took fastest race lap giving him a pole position start for tomorrows second race, although he will have work to do in Race 3 where he lines up in P3 on the grid.

The action will resume at Chang International tomorrow Sunday the 24rd for races 8 and 9 of the Championship. You can follow the weekend’s action with the live timing and live tracker available at: &
