Duvashen PadayacheeNineteen year old Australian, Duvashen Padayachee, will race for Eurasia Motorsport in the 2010 Formula BMW Pacific Series. This will be Padayachee’s first year in car racing and team and driver are looking forward to a competitive season in the Rookie Cup Championship. Duvashen celebrated by winning the 2009 Sydney Karting Championship in the final event of the year.

Duvashen started his motor sport career in karts in 2007, racing in the Clubman Lights Class, a class to which he has remained faithful to this day. Earlier this year Duvashen tested with Eurasia Motorsport at the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia and he impressed the team enough to be asked back for more testing.

“Duvashen has really impressed us with his determination and application and this, together with the experience gained from more testing at the Sepang Circuit before the first race of 2010, should allow him to compete for Rookie Championship honours. Two of the top three drivers in this year’s overall championship are Rookie drivers so we see no reason why Duvashen cannot have some podium finishes before the end of the 2010 season” stated Eurasia Motorsport’s Mark Goddard.

Duvashen will begin his testing campaign at the Sepang F1 Circuit in December, just three weeks after the final event of the 2009 Championship held during the Macau GP.
