Eurasia Motorsport is entering the Craft Racing Aston Martin DBRS9 GT3 car in the Merdeka Millennium race which will start at midnight on Saturday August 7th at the Sepang F1 Circuit in Malaysia. Aston Martin star, Michael Bentwood, leads the three driver team alongside Frank Yu and Alain Li.
Car owner, Frank Yu, competed in last year’s Merdeka in his Ginetta G50Z with which he is taking part in the 2010 GT3 Asia Series. Alain Li also shared the Ginetta in last year’s event and they are both confident their experience will help them finish well this year. Add in Aston Martin star, Michael Bentwood, and this is definitely a strong team and a serious effort to win the race.
“The Merdeka is now one of the most prestigious events in the region and each year the competition gets tougher” reports Eurasia’s Mark Goddard. “Reliability is essential and we hope the Aston will give us a trouble free run to the finish. If it does we will have a good chance of a very good result”
The team will start its testing campaign the second week of June.
