Eurasia Motorsport’s driver coach, Richard Bradley, set the LMP2 pole time and went on to win the class in the 83rd running of the 24 Heures du Mans.
Bradley, who won the 2010 Formula BMW Pacific Championship with Eurasia, is currently coaching the team’s Formula Masters China Series drivers, including Aidan Read, Sean Hudspeth, Hua Miao and Jeong Tae.
He joins a growing list of Eurasia graduates who are performing on the global motorsports stage, including Red Bull Racing Formula 1 Grand Prix winner, Daniel Ricciardo, and current FIA European Formula 3 Championship leader, Antonio Giovinazzi, to name but a few. All have been ‘trained by Eurasia’.
It was a good day for Asian Motorsport at Le Mans, with Formula BMW Asia graduate, Earl Bamber, taking the overall LMP1 victory with Porsche, and Bradley winning the LMP2 class.
Once again, it demonstrates the Asian region is a viable option for starting a motor racing career, no matter what part of the world you hail from.
Bradley shared the KCMG ORECA O5-Nissan with Nicolas Lapierre and Matt Howson, the latter another product of Asian motorsport, having resurrected his career through Asian F3.
Their KCMG entered car was engineered by Eurasia’s Technical Director, Greg Wheeler, who said: “Congratulations to KCMG on its brilliant achievement. It is a fantastic advert for Asian motorsport and it’s also tremendously satisfying to have another ‘trained by Eurasia’ driver doing so well, while demonstrating that our current crop of young drivers in the Formula Masters China Series have a great driver coach.”
