Chinese Rookie, Kenan Chan, became the inaugural Super Trofeo Asia Amateur Driver Champion in his Eurasia run Shanghai Dealer car after finishing second and third in class in the final two races held last weekend at the Shanghai International Circuit. Sharing with Alecks Altberg they started on class pole for the first race which turned into a thriller with the pair just failing to take a win after a race long duel with the Bob Indrasas and Andrea Garbagnati car.

The winning margin in the 50 minute, two driver race, was a mere three tenths of a second. William Lok and David Cheong finished third to make it a double podium for the team. The final race of the series saw Chen and Altberg finish third in class whilst the sister car failed to finish after crashing out of the class lead. “The Lamborghinio Blancpain Super Trofeo Series has been a great success in it’s inaugural season with its two driver, 50 minute race format offering affordable super car racing for both experienced and novice racers. We are very happy to have made Kenan and the Shanghai Dealer Team Amateur Driver Champions this year” remarked Martin Quick of Eurasia Motorsport.
