bc025b22-edf2-4319-b341-93bac6fb025cEurasia Motorsport will enter an ORECA 03R Nissan LMP2 prototype in the 2015 Asian Le Mans Series (AsLMS) for Hong Kong driver William Lok, Korean Tacksung Kim and 24 Hours of Le Mans LMP2 victor and long-standing Eurasia racer, Richard Bradley.

However, the clash between the first round of the Asian Le Mans Series at Fuji Speedway with the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) 6 Hours of Fuji (10-11 October) precludes Bradley from racing with Eurasia Motorsport and Tristan Gommendy has subsequently been drafted in to lead the Asia-based team’s attack on the AsLMS season-opener in Japan.

Lok, meanwhile, raced and won for Eurasia Motorsport in the 2011 Lamborghini Super Trofeo and returned to the fold to prepare for his AsLMS campaign by dovetailing appearances in this year’s Formula Masters China Series (FMCS) with outings in a Formula Pilota car at Eurasia’s testing base at Clark International Circuit in the Philippines.

Tacksung Kim drove for the team in the Korean leg of the 2014 AsLMS at Inje Speedium and is also fresh from a cuessful three-day test at Clark.

Eurasia Motorsport Team Principal, Mark Goddard, said: “William and Tack are both putting a lot of effort into their preparations for this year’s Asian Le Mans Series and I am confident they can both do an excellent job as our bronze drivers. We are excited to have Tristan (Gommendy) on-board for the opening round at Fuji Speedway; he is a Macau Grand Prix Formula 3 winner, which for me says everything, as a Macau winner has to be world class.

“He is also arguably the fastest LMP2 driver around over a single lap, although I am sure Richard (Bradley) would dispute that! We know we are going to have a tough battle to win in Fuji, but we have all the ingredients in place to take a victory.”
