Marlon Stockinger, who raced for Eurasia Motorsport in his first year of car racing in the 2008 Formula BMW Pacific season, qualified on pole position and took a win and a second place in the British Formula Renault Championship held at Croft last weekend.
Stockinger is now in his second year in the extremely competitive British Championship and has been a contender since the first race of the season. His break-through win was taken in the best possible fashion, leading from lights to flag from pole position.
“Eurasia Motorsport is really happy for Marlon and we hope he can follow in the footsteps of another Eurasia graduate, Daniel Ricciardo, who is a Red Bull F1 third driver” reported Eurasia’s Mark Goddard. “Marlon is from the Philippines and yet more proof that Formula BMW Pacific is a fantastic first step on the ladder to F1.
