Eurasia Motorsport’s first season in TCR Asia is drawing to a close as the Philippine-based team prepare for the final two rounds of the championship to be held at the daunting Bangsaen Street Circuit in Thailand.

The team are third in the teams’ standings having secured points in all eight rounds so far with the two Hyundai i30 N TCRs. For Eurasia’s two drivers, their 2019 debut to date has been a successful one.

Daniel Miranda is fourth in the drivers’ championship with 74 points with ‘Zack’ Gao Hua Yang close behind in seventh position. In addition, Daniel leads the Asian Drivers’ classification but a margin of 15 points, something he aims to retain over the final two rounds.

The coastal street circuit in Bangsaen is fast, narrow and very demanding. At 3.8KM in length will be demanding on drivers and equipment alike and for Eurasia, the target remains to secure its first victory of the season.

The race weekend gets underway with practice on the Friday, followed by two qualifying sessions on the Saturday. Round nine gets underway the same day at 11.00 local time with the season finale Sunday at 12.45.

Mark Goddard, Team Principal
“This a great circuit, one we are very wary off as it’s even narrower than Macau and is very fast. Our first year in the TCR Asia Series has passed very quickly, so we’re looking forward to ending the year on a high while preparing for Asian Le Mans and the forthcoming TCR South East Asia series!”

Daniel Miranda
“I’m really looking forward for the last race of the year for the TCR Asia. The points are very close and I’m currently leading the Asian drivers’ series and fourth overall. The race at the Bangsaen Street Circuit in Thailand will be very tricky especially because the course is very tight and challenging.

“My goal is to finish the race in one piece and maintain my lead in the Asian driver’s title! Thank you Cebuana Lhuillier for the never-ending supper in my racing career and everyone involved for making this happen.”
