The brand new Oreca 05 was completed in the pit garage at the Paul Ricard European Le Mans Official Test this week. Driven by Tristan Gommendy, Pu Jun Jin and Nick de Bruijn the car completed its shake down in readiness for the first ELMS round at Silverstone on April 16th.
The car sported a temporary livery prior to an Official Launch of the team and its new partnership with a Chinese partner at the Guangdong International Circuit on March 30th. Team Principal Mark Goddard reported that the team was relieved to be able to complete the car and undertake the shakedown at Paul Ricard. “Oreca made a fantastic effort to complete the car and we have to thank them for all their assistance.”
