Eurasia Craft Racing is expecting a good result in the second event of the GT3 Asia Series which supports Japanese Super GT at Sepang in Malaysia on June 20th.  The team’s Ginetta Zytek G50Z cars have set competitive times in testing allowing drivers, Frank Yu, Samson Chan and Eric Cheung, to be confident of scoring a good haul of championship points.

The first event of the Series was held at Sepang in May. “The team received the cars race week and the first event was basically a public shakedown.” reports Mark Goddard of Eurasia Craft. “Since the event we have had three weeks to develop the cars and we undertook a very successful test with Alex Yoong behind the wheel last week. Alex set some very competitive lap times which demonstrated the potential of the car. We have some more parts, developed by the team, on the way for the third event, also at Sepang, in July which will move the car to a further level whilst improving the reliability”.

The GT3 Asia Series ends the season with a race at the new Korean F1 Circuit in August before travelling to Japan for two events at Fuji and Autopolis. The season ends with a non-championship race at Macau in November.
