DSCF7842Hot off the heels of its first podium position in the European Le Mans Series, LeSports by Eurasia Motorsport head to Circuit Paul Ricard (26-28 August, 2016) in a bullish frame of mind.

With a strong second position in the bag at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, the team regroup in the south of France for the fourth round of the championship aiming to maintain fourth position in the championship and close down further the gap to those ahead.

Tristan Gommendy, Pu Jun Jin and Nick de Bruijn will once again pilot the #33 Oreca Nissan in what is another four-hour endurance event, aiming to continue the recent trend that has seen the team record two strong fifth placed finished and then the runner-up spot.

“As I said before, podium is where we’re at and that is solid progress over the season,” said LeSports by Eurasia Motorsport Team Principal, Mark Goddard. “We’re 14 points off third position in the championship standings, so that has to be our aim as we enter the second half of the European Le Mans Series season.

“The car is running well and Kevin Pu Jun Jin is making really good progress as well, especially in traffic, so we’re feeling pretty confident of a good showing at Paul Ricard.”

Round four of the European Le Mans Series gets underway in earnest with qualification at 14.15 CET on Saturday 27 August with the headline race starting Sunday at 13.20.
