Natasha Seatter, making a guest appearance at the Ordos Formula Pilota Series event, finished fourth overall, third in the Asian Driver Class. Supporting the FIA GT1 World Championship, Seatter had qualified sixth in the competitive field and after a great start fended off Samin Gomaz in an exciting race.

This is the first time the series has visited the new Ordos Circuit in Inner Mongolia, North West China. Natasha made a good start and slotted into fifth place with Dustin Sofyan on her tail. After a tense couple of laps in which she fended off a determined Sofyan, the latter spun to the back of the field after touching wheels at turn 16. Their dice had allowed the top four to pull away and for several laps the Malaysian was on her own. However Samin Gomaz was on a charge and was soon within a second. Natasha kept Gomez at bay until the last lap when Gomez out-braked herself and ran wide at turn 5.

Fifth place on the road became fourth after Matheo Tuscher was awarded a 30 second penalty for a jump start.

Third place in the Asian Driver’s Class was the first International Formula Car Podium for Natasha. The second race of the weekend will take place on Sunday September 4th.

“Natasha has been improving all year with our Formula JK team and all the effort paid dividends today. We are looking forward to tomorrow’s race and hopefully another podium” reported Eurasia Motorsport’s Mark Goddard.
