Ghorparde had qualified third behind team mate, Antonio Giovinazzi, and he converted a good start to a race lead which he held for several laps before relinquishing the place. It was  a great debut drive for Ghorpade at the Shanghai F1 Circuit. Giovinazzi took third place on the last lap with a late lunge which earned him a 5 place grid penalty for Sunday’s race. Sami Luka was 6th, Sean Gelael 7th and Robin Tato 8th.

Sami Luka is steadily improving and finished 6th whilst young Sean Gelael drove well in his first Formula car race to finish 7th. Robin Tato was 13th and completed the Eurasia Motorsport line up. Rounds 2 and 3 will be held on Sunday 17th.
