Eurasia Motorsport has now completed the first segment of testing at the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia. Testing at Sepang will recommence after the F1 Grand Prix in March. In use were the teams GT, Formula Three, Formula Pilota and JK Racing Asia Series cars driven by a complete spectrum of drivers from F1 to novices. Testing for GT and F3 cars will re-commence in April at Sepang whilst F. Pilota will test next month in China. An alternative venue will be announced soon for March JK Racing Asia Series car testing.

Sandy Stuvik, British National Class Championship and ex-Eurasia F.BMW driver, Kotaro Sakurai plus Italian Antonio Giovinazzi all sampled the team’s Dallara 304 Toyota car. All three posted competitive lap times and found it useful for miles in an F3 car.

The F. Pilota team tested a total of eight different drivers and the current lap record was comprehensively beaten by five of those drivers. The team has one seat only vacant in our 2012 four car F. Pilota team.

A British F.Ford driver joined Hiqmar Danial in the JK team, both drivers setting competitive times in the Mygale chassis.

“The F3 once again proved to be a cost effective manner for drivers to get F3 experience in good weather at a Grand Prix track. It has to be the best F3 value on the planet right now!” reported Mark Goddard of Eurasia. “We had a mix of experienced and novice drivers in our F. Pilota cars and with the former we were able to further fine tune the cars and we are certain we will be a force in this year’s championship. We have three drivers signed up already, announcements will be made in due course. The first round of the series is at Shanghai and the cars are on the way to China now. We will have the available test dates very soon”.

“Alex Yoong helped us with set up work with our Ginetta G50Z GT3 cars in readiness for the first Malaysian Super Series Race at the F1 Grand Prix at Sepang in March. He did his usual professional job and set some impressively fast times. Frank Yu and Samson Chan will drive the cars at the F1 event.”
