New F.BMW signings, Kyle Mitchell and Akhil Khushlani, were immediately on the pace at the official test held at the Sepang Circuit on April 13-14th. Mitchell posted the third fastest time with Khushlani fifth fastest on the day. “We are very pleased considering the two drivers in front of us have had considerably more testing time than our guys and they were throwing new tyres at their cars” reported a team spokesman. “Kyle and Khushlani have more scope for improvement which makes us very confident for the season.”
Mitchell, who had previously tested for Meritus but chose Eurasia, reported that the car was better and that he was able to work very well with the team. Khushlani was particularly quick on old tyres and he is confident that he will be right on the pace at the first event to be held on the North Sepang Circuit on May 5-6th.
“We are very happy with our two drivers who proved over the test that they can already operate at a very high level. The data shows there is still a lot of time to come and I am sure by the first race they will challenging for a victory” remarked Mark Goddard of Eurasia Motorsport.
