Eurasia Motorsport driver, Daniel Ricciardo, took another lights to flag win at the Bira Circuit in Thailand today. His team mate, Aaron Lim was a fine second with Zahir Ali 5th. Ricciardo now starts as favorite for round 14 of the Formula BMW Asia Series to be run later today.
Ricciardo made a great start and led easily into the first corner and was never headed to take an accomplished win. Behind Earl Bamber took to the grass at turn two and in the ensuing chaos Aaron Lim emerged in second from Dominic Storey and Sam Abay. The three Eurasia Motorsport team mates ran in the top three for the first half of the race until Storey ran wide at the ultra fast turn four allowing Sam Abay past into third. A couple of laps later Storey tagged a kerb at the final chicane and hit the wall hard. Meanwhile Lim looked to have second in the bag until a back marker spun in front of him allowing Abay to close right up. Lim kept his head and finished second, just, from Abay.
Bamber recovered to fourth whilst Zahir Ali drove well from the back of the grid to take fifth place.
