Partiv Sureshwaren finished second for Eurasia Motorsport in the Grand Race at the Sepang Circuit today. Seth Ingam was first. A huge first corner accident saw the race suspended whilst the wreckage was removed and at the re-start Sureshwaren jumped into third on the road and held the place to the finish This became second after Hanns Linn received a penalty.

The start saw Adderley Fong dive up the inside of several cars in what appeared to be an extremely ill judged maneuver. After the dust settled Marchy Lee, Fong, Karl Reindler and Aaman Ebrahim were all out whilst Ken Lee was able to rejoin several laps down after pit lane repairs.

Hanns Lin was also involved and took the re-start from the pit lane. Confusion reigned when several drivers obviously misunderstood the suspended race rules and attempted to stop on the grid for what is designed to be a rolling start. Linn shot from the back to second behind Ingham whilst Sureshwaren took third. That’s how it finished with a delighted Sureshwaren thankful his luck had finally changed.

However the stewards looked at the re-start and the fact that Linn should have taken a drive through penalty after starting from the pit lane having returned to the pits after the race was suspended. He was given a time penalty and relegated to fourth place.
