Eurasia Motorsport entered two Hyundai Elantra TCR N cars in the event for Andy Liang and Red Diwa with both drivers competing in the TCR Asia Cup Class. It proved to be a good weekend with Red Diwa achieving one class win and two second places in the three race event. Andy Liang bagged three third places in class. TCR Asia will now join the World Tour again at Zhuzhou circuit in China at the end of October.
Competing with some of the best touring car drivers in the World is a great opportunity for any driver and, in the region, is unique to TCR Asia. Teams competing in both the Inje and Zhuzhou World Tour events gain automatic entries to the Macau GP World Tour final in November.
Team Principal, Mark Goddard, stated that “competing in the World Tour as a TCR Asia Team is a great opportunity and it is even more so for our drivers. Red is really developing fast whilst Andy with less running is acquitting himself really well. We now look forward to racing at Zhuzhou with the World Tour with both Red and Andy”.
